All alone on a saturday night
Which usually means it’s time for some blues. I’m still a bit pissed that I missed Walter Trout when he played here but Spotify and YouTube is all I need right now. For the moment I’m aquainting myself with Firebird, a blues-rock power trio with Bill Steer from Carcass at the helm. Very nice sound. Gov’t Mule is also in the playlist and while the pile of 70’s southern rock looks very appealing I’m trying my best to stay clear of it for tonight. I need to inject some new material into my stream.
Oh and by the way, if you need some i’m-wounded-but-strong-singer-songwriter-guitar-folk/country-pop, check out First Aid Kit. Old news for some perhaps but I just recently stumbled upon this pair and they’re coming out with some new material soon as well.
