Dire Straits - “Sultans Of Swing” (OGWT; Recorded: Jan. 1978; Broadcast: May ‘78)
Gold. Taped two weeks before they started recording their first record—a full nine months before it was released.
Featuring variations on not one, but two, of my favorite guitar solos.
The man pulls-off like a mofo.

Damn fine! For those of you with spotify, check them out there too.
Fresh air? Bah!
I’ve been breathing nothing but southern rock from the seventies lately so when First Aid Kit released a new album I decided it was time to open the window and let some new air in. Refreshing. The break was short though – this baby landed at my door a couple of days ago. Some damn nice recordings on that album.
Neil Young, Old man, Live at Massey Hall. Lots of vids coming out here lately but needed to show Neil some love. The whole concert’s great, go get it.
Allman Brothers, Seven Turns – live, acoustic and awesome.
The Outlaws, Green Grass and High Tides live in Houston, Texas ‘77. Not super high quality but nice to find a clip from the 70s. Oh and this is only part one. That’s right, it’s a 18 minute epic!
This is hot in so many ways; the sound, the band, the hair, the clothes… EVERYTHING IS HOT ABOUT GRAND FUNK!

Trying to recover or at least cushion the withdrawal from last night’s concert with Lars Winnerbäck. Great concert and I had a great time. Never saw him before despite being a fan though to be honest I’m not much of a concert man. Not much of a lyrics lover either but Lasse’s texts are among the few that manages to make it all the way to my brain. :) Thanks for a great night Lasse!
